Here you will find all my favorite classroom items. Enjoy!

Zip top bags are an absolute must in my classroom. I use them for everything. I keep math manipulatives organized and accessible and the kids use them for their “baggie books” that they bring to guided reading. Zip top bags can always be found on my back to school wish list.

No kindergarten room should be without cleaning wipes!

FLYT Magazine fileThese are magazine files from IKEA but in my classroom we call them “work boxes.” I provide each student with one box at the beginning of the year and they use markers to decorate their box. I then write their name on the front and we are good to go for the rest of the year. In these boxes we store our baggie books  for guided reading, our writing folder, and any other “work in progress” that the students would like to come back to. In past years I have kept writing journals in these boxes as well.

This tape can be expensive but it is well worth it in my opinion. I use Book  Tapefor mending books that have been loved, hanging things on the wall, placing name plates on tables, and labeling the classroom with words and pictures. I prefer to use the thinner tape because it fits perfectly into my packing tape dispenser.

  • Great ideas. I agree with using book tape. The only problem is making sure you put something at the end piece so you don’t have to search for it the next time you use the tape. Or, better yet use a tape dispenser when using the book tape.

Another helpful item are page protectors. I use them for signs as it protects the papers inside. I cut off the three whole part.

  • I just found your website and love your ideas.
